Pilot drilled and removed flash from -07, counterbalance plates. Removed machine marks and smoothed all edges on drive and counterbalance plates.
Made the lead counterbalance weights, W04-08. Decided to cast them but would not do it again. It took way too long, but it worked out ok. It would have been faster and easier to use a bandsaw or tablesaw to cut the lead to size. I used a radial arm saw with multible light cuts to cut the amount of lead off the supplied brick that I needed to do the casting. The lead cut easily with the light cuts and a carbide tipped blade.
